Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your visit. If we haven’t answered your question here, call us or drop us a message.

Reservations & Bookings

How do I make a reservation?
The easiest way is online at avagrill.co.uk/book-a-table, where you can choose your date, time and party size. You can also call us on 01708 898190 or email bookings@avagrill.co.uk. We recommend booking at least 48 hours ahead, especially for Fridays and Saturdays.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Absolutely, walk-ins are always welcome. Availability at weekends cannot be guaranteed, so we suggest arriving before 7pm if you have not booked. For groups of four or more, a reservation is strongly recommended.
Can I book a private dining experience or exclusive hire?
Yes. AVA accommodates private events for up to 50 guests, with bespoke menus curated around your occasion. Birthdays, corporate dinners, engagements and family celebrations are all welcome. Contact our events team to discuss what you have in mind.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or amend a reservation. For large group bookings of eight or more, 48 hours' notice is required. Same-day cancellations and no-shows may be subject to a charge. Full details are in our Terms and Conditions.

Halal & Dietary

Is the meat at AVA halal?
Yes. Our meat is halal, sourced from trusted halal suppliers. If you would like more detail about our sourcing, our team will be glad to help when you visit.
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes. AVA is now fully licensed. Our bar offers a carefully chosen wine list, classic cocktails and premium spirits, alongside a full range of mocktails, alcohol-free wines and beers, fresh juices and soft drinks. Whether you drink or not, there is always something to sit beside your steak.
Can you cater for allergies and dietary requirements?
Yes. Please inform us of any dietary requirements or allergen concerns at the time of booking, or let your server know on arrival. A full allergen guide is available on request. For severe allergies, we always recommend speaking directly with a member of our team before ordering.
Do you have vegetarian or vegan options?
We do. While AVA is primarily a steakhouse, our menu includes a selection of vegetarian dishes and sides, and we can adapt certain items for vegan guests. Ask your server for the current options when you visit.

Dining at AVA

What is the dress code?
Smart casual. We want guests to feel confident and comfortable. Jeans and a clean top are perfectly appropriate; gym wear and sportswear are not. If you are celebrating something special and want to dress up, even better.
Is AVA suitable for families and children?
Yes. Families are welcome at AVA. High chairs are available, and our team is happy to adapt dishes for younger guests where possible. We do ask that the relaxed atmosphere is maintained for all diners.
